What is Alpha?

Alpha is a safe space to learn about the basics of the Christian faith, share your perspectives, and ask questions without any judgment or pressure. You'll also be able to meet others who may have similar thoughts or experiences. Your point of view is welcome here!

Our new group will meet:

Every Sunday from January 10th through March 21st with the exception of Sunday, March 14th.

March 12th-13th (Friday night - Saturday) for a special Weekend Away that replaces the normally scheduled March 14th session.

The Sunday sessions will take place at a few volunteer hosts' homes between 6:00 to 8:00pm, and dinner is provided. Everything is completely free of charge, including dinner and the Weekend Away. Specific details such as the addresses of the meetings and more about the Weekend Away event will be provided over email before the first session begins.

FAQ

  • Alpha is for anyone who wants to explore the basics of the Christian faith.

    If you already attend our church service regularly and are a professed believer, this group is not for you. We hope you keep supporting and demonstrating Christ’s love for those whom you have invited.

  • Not currently. We plan on forming Alpha groups specifically geared towards youth in the future if there is enough interest.

  • Whether in person or online, each Alpha offers a time of connection to build relationships (in-person that is often over food), a short film is presented, and then space for conversation about the content of each film. In that discussion, you can share what you think—as much or as little as you want—and nothing is off limits.

    You won't be pressured to do or say anything, and we want you to be free to come to your own conclusions... we're welcoming you as our guest and want you to feel comfortable.

  • Every Sunday from January 10 - March 21, 2027, with the exception of March 14th.

    6:00pm - 8:00pm

    March 12-13 (Fri evening - Saturday) will be a special Weekend Away that replaces the normally scheduled sessions.

  • You don't have to attend every session.

    You can sign up even if you just want to check out a session or two. Each week is an open invitation, and there is no obligation to come back.

  • Everything is free of charge, including dinner that is provided on Sunday sessions and the special weekend away event.
